A Custom Shirt, made by you in time for Christmas!
Never able to find the perfectly fitting, classic shirt off-the-shelf? Learn to make your own, with the meticulous techniques the wardrobe staple is famous for: French seams, different collar, placket and cuff options, all finished off with beautiful hand button holes. This popular online class teaches both the pattern construction and the making of a classic, unisex custom shirt. Modelled on our long-established Online Tailoring classes, we guide you through the process in manageable weekly tutorials, demonstrating each process step close-up on screen. The course takes place on Zoom, every Friday from 10am to 1pm between 18 September and 4 December 2026.
Suitable for participants with an intermediate level of sewing experience. Students learn to create individual cutting patterns and receive illustrated PDF instructions for future reference. The draft method is repeatable – use it as a blueprint in future projects and never buy an ill-fitting shirt again! Recordings are made available following each live session for those who are not able to attend in person. A chat channel facilitates direct communication with the course tutor between live sessions, should any questions come up. Top quality fabrics, threads and buttons are all included. We ship these to your home address – simply book your place and let us do the rest!
