Cut and tailor your perfect Pair of Trousers (male or female)
Following the blueprint of our hugely popular Online Tailoring class for the Bespoke Jacket, this course has a comprehensive yet easy-to-follow curriculum: we lead you, step-by-step, through the process of making your own pair of perfectly fitting trousers. Starting with the draft of your unique cutting pattern, we teach you to cut and fit your trousers perfectly, to then complete them with a beautiful, professional hand finish.
The class is suitable for participants with at least intermediate sewing experience. Experience with needle and thimble is useful. Prior experience in pattern construction or tailoring is not needed. Please be aware you have a choice between drafting your pattern for the male OR female figure type. Tailoring techniques are, however, identical for either and you will gain the full skill set needed to make men’s and women’s trousers. A video tutorial and pattern draft instructions for the ‘other’ figure type are available for purchase.
Starting 26 February, the class takes place every Friday 10 am to 1pm UK time, concluding on 9 July 2027. Please see the full schedule below. Places are limited and allocated on a first come first serve basis to eligible candidates. The course fee is £995 incl. VAT and includes comprehensive PDF literature, recordings of each class and access to tutors between sessions. A video tutorial is made available after each session to enable self-study in your own time. A chat channel is open Monday to Friday, allowing you to discuss any queries directly with your tutor.
